Beats Executive Headphones

posted by dace in November 2011 | tags: Beats, Executive Headphones, beats by dre

Want to bask in the lush bass of Beats, but find the bright, highly-visible plastic bodies a little too flashy? Say hello to Beats Executive Headphones ($TBA). As the name might suggest, the Executive skips the plastic for a decidedly more high-end look, with brushed metal finishes on the lower stems and earcups and fine leather on the band — black and silver are the only colors you'll find — while still offering the active noise cancellation and crisp, full audio that you'd expect. Coming soon, or just as soon as Dr. Dre gives the "hell yeah" thumbs-up.

It doesn't look different on the outside, but it's full of new stuff on the inside. Powered by the dual-core A5 processor, the Apple iPhone 4S features iOS5 and its 200 new features including iCloud, as well as an 8-megapixel camera with all-new optics and 1080p HD video recording with image stabilisation. Or just tell Siri to do something — it can make calls, send texts and emails, schedule reminders, make notes, search the web, find local businesses, get directions and much more. The iPhone 4S will ship in black or white in 16GB, 32GB or 64GB models

Feast your eyes on these Adidas Star Wars Campus Wampa Sneakers. They may smell bad, kid, but they'll keep you warm.

Porsche Design Johnnie Walker Private Bar

posted by admin in October 2011 | tags: Porsche, Design, Johnnie Walker Private Bar

Johnnie Walker Blue Label is known as an elegant drink for sophisticated men... and as such, it deserves an equally elegant bar. The Porsche Design Johnnie Walker Private Bar delivers in spades, standing over six feet tall with a brushed stainless steel exterior and interior appointed with more stainless steel, Australian lace wood, and natural shagreen leather, a motion-activated opening sequence, a magnum of cask-strength Blue Label, two regular bottles of Blue Label, and a hidden chilled compartment that rises out of the bar to reveal a bespoke crystal ice bucket, stainless steel tongs, four further crystal glasses and a crystal jug of iced water. If that's a bit too rich for you, there's also The Cube and The Chiller, which offer similar brushed stainless steel and leather construction, but hold only one bottle a piece, have lids that double as ice buckets, and, in the latter case, hold a few drinking glasses, as well.read more

Steve Jobs made a surprise appearance today to introduce us to the iPad 2. About 33% thinner than the current iPad (which makes it thinner than the iPhone 4), the all-new iPad features Apple's new dual-core A5 processor for faster everything, as well as a front-facing VGA camera for FaceTime, and a rear-facing camera that captures 720p HD video. It's also got a built-in gyroscope, HDMI video output at 1080p HD ($39 cable required), 10 hours of battery life, and the same 9.7-inch LED-backlit LCD screen. Jawbone Era

As if we didn't look dorky enough with Bluetooth headsets in our ears, along comes the Jawbone Era ($130) to kick things up a notch. Packing the company's chaos-killing NoiseAssassin technology, improved "HD" audio, and a processor for running "apps" like the new spoken name Caller ID, the Era also sports an accelerometer, letting you shake it (or your head) to enter pairing mode, and — we're not making this up — "tap" it to answer calls, meaning you can now smack yourself in the side of the head before appearing to talk to yourself in a public place. Gotta love progress.

Great for all sorts of games, though it's obviously best when paired with a game you actually used to play with a joystick.
